As Samsung considers Central Texas for a $17 billion chipmaking plant, the Lone Star State was ranked as the top state in the U.S. for semiconductor activity by Business Facilities magazine.
Texas placed in several categories in the magazine’s July 27 report, which shows the state continues to be seen as a national economic leader. The fast-growing Austin metro placed in a few categories as well, mainly for its tech and startup climate.
Business Facilities is a national publication serving corporate site selectors and economic development professionals.
