Austin’s newest trophy tower is just about ready to make its debut in the heart of the city’s Central Business District.
Some members of Indeed Tower’s development team gave Austin Business Journal a sneak peek of the high-rise’s interior just days after Dallas-based Trammell Crow Company sold the building to Los Angeles-based Kilroy Realty Group (NYSE: KRC).
The 36-story tower — the biggest one in the region devoted to office — was completed in May, with minor work still going on inside. Indeed Tower sits on a full block at Sixth and Colorado streets. The former home of Austin’s central post office stands next to the tower and will somehow be incorporated into the building. Plans right now call for the former post office, which eats up 35,000 square feet, to be converted into a food hall, where Indeed Tower’s tenants can dine.
Indeed Tower is 58% leased, with a 12.7-year weighted average lease term.
