A group of boutique brokerages across the country have joined together to form a new firm that focuses on multifamily sales and financing as investor appetite for apartments remains robust.
The group launched New York City-based GREA, an acronym for Global Real Estate Advisors, last week. GREA, with 11 offices from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Portland, Oregon, has 61 brokers and is one of the largest privately held multifamily brokerage firms in the United States, the company said.
Four of the offices formerly were part of Greystone. In addition, the operations in Philadelphia and Portland had considered joining Greystone but opted for the new firm instead, Mark Allen, executive managing director of GREA, said in an email.
